The Wedding 

Katarina and Robert’s wedding day on September 2025 began with a sense of calm anticipation in Edinburgh. Having arrived in the city two days earlier, they spent the morning enjoying quiet moments at the Virgin Hotel before the whirlwind of the day began. By 10:00 am, Louize was on site, coordinating the day and collecting the wedding cake, before checking in with the bride and groom.

Katarina spent the morning doing her own hair and makeup, embracing the intimacy and personal touch of getting ready on her own terms. By early afternoon, the photographer, Simon from Simons Studio, arrived and was introduced to the couple, ready to capture the day from the very first moments. Robert stepped aside briefly for a few solo photos around the venue, while Louize scouted and coordinated the best spot for the couple’s first look. When Katarina and Robert finally saw each other for the first time that day, it was a special moment, framed perfectly by the beautiful Virgin Hotel.

Shortly afterward, they were whisked away to St Anthony’s Chapel Ruins. The small group, consisting of Katarina, Robert, Louize and Simon, climbed Arthurs Seat until they reached the perfect ceremony location, where the couple eloped overlooking the city of Edinburgh, sharing special words of love and their future together. The ceremony concluded, leaving Katarina and Robert officially married! The couple then returned to the city centre, where post-ceremony photographs captured the joy, laughter, and lingering excitement of the day.

The rest of the afternoon flowed with ease, from more photography around the city to relaxed moments shared between the couple. By the end of the day, every detail – from the first look to the final photograph – had been perfectly orchestrated, leaving Katarina and Robert with memories of a day that was both personal and unforgettable, a celebration of love set against the beauty of Edinburgh.
